About the event
Nestled in the heart of England the Maverick Buckinghamshire Original really delivers on all levels. You will find yourself winding through ancient woodland, steeped in history with incredible views over the surrounding Chiltern Hills AONB.
Whilst running you will be greeted with the sound of Red Kites soaring high above. You will find yourselves running on various famous routes such as the Icknield Way, which is one of the oldest roads in Britain, it consists of Prehistoric pathways, already old when the Romans set foot upon it. It survives now as splendid green lanes.
The route starts off by climbing up to Whiteleaf Hill, where you will see the famous white leaf chalk cross, and again stunning views of the surrounding area.
